How it started
In 2019 a new concept — the Locally Accessible Cloud System — was proposed as a disaster-response solution by Dr. Toshikazu Sakano at ATR in Kyoto. A prototype was built and tested through a series of feasibility studies backed by Japanese Government R&D funding. The response from participants was strong enough that the team decided to build a business around it. Neiglobe Networks was founded in Kyoto in June 2022 to deliver LACS-based products, services and solutions.
